There is more to life than believing in God;  the life-changing experience comes from having a relationship w/ God.  And that can only be achieved through accepting Christ, God's Son, as your Savior.  When you repent of your wrong-doing and accept Jesus Christ to Save you from the penalty of sin, He takes up abode in your heart. You become part of the Lord's family. That new relationship is what motivates us to live for God.
